The UMA Instruments 5-300-40 is a standard 3-1/8 in (approx. 79 mm) single-pointer altimeter with a 0–5,500 ft altitude range and a millibar barometric-setting scale.

Designed as a compact analogue flight instrument, it features an adjustable barometric setting viewed through a Kollsman window. This model has a non-sensitive, non-sealed case.
