Airframe Cleaner is a concentrated detergent for general cleaning activities related to cleaning the exterior of airplanes, helicopters and other aircraft. The product easily removes oil, grease, exhaust gas and dirt and applies a coating to prevent the build-up of new dirt particles. The non-corrosive formula is safe for use on metal, plastic and (un)painted surfaces, de-icing boots, glass, Plexiglas® and Lexan® and windshields.

The build-up of dirt influences the airflow across the wings and body of the plane, thereby decreasing the aerodynamic properties of the aircraft. Once dirt accumulates, it becomes easier for more dirt particles to adhere to the craft (compared to a clean surface), thereby reinforcing the negative effect on the airflow. Needless to say, every ounce of unnecessary weight requires more fuel.
