The MS21042L5 is a lubricated all-metal hex stop nut for 5/16-24 threaded fasteners. Its dry-film lubricant is identified by a dark-grey appearance.

Part of the compact MS21042 stop-nut series, it is shorter than an AN363 nut while stated to provide the same tensile strength. The series is designed for high-temperature installations, with a stated operating capability of up to 232°C.
