The MS21042-L4 is an all-metal hex stop nut with a 1/4-28 thread. It features a dry-film lubricant coating and is intended for high-temperature fastening installations, with a stated operating capability up to approximately 232 °C.

Compared with an AN363 nut, the MS21042 series has a shorter profile while developing the same tensile strength. Its all-metal self-locking construction makes it suitable where compact, secure threaded retention is required.
