The MS21042-L04 is a compact all-metal hex stop nut with a 4-40 thread. The L suffix identifies a dry-film-lubricated version of the MS21042 series.

Designed for high-temperature fastening installations, this stop nut is stated to be suitable for temperatures up to 450°F (approximately 232°C). The MS21042 series has a shorter profile than AN363 nuts while developing equivalent tensile strength.
