The AN970-4 is a flat, large-area washer intended for 1/4 in (6.35 mm) bolt installations. Its broad bearing surface helps distribute bolt or nut loading over the contact area.

  • Carbon-steel washer with cadmium plating in accordance with QQ-P-416C, Type II, Class 2.
  • Designed to provide a greater bearing area than an AN960 washer.
  • Commonly used on wooden structures beneath both the bolt head and nut to help prevent surface crushing.
  • Approximate dimensions: 28.6 mm outside diameter, 6.7 mm inside diameter and 1.6 mm thickness.
  • Part number: AN970-4.
