The Aeroquip 491-8D is a hose fitting from the Aeroquip 491 series, identified for 1/2 in. (approximately 12.7 mm) tube size and a 3/4-16 thread.

The 491-series design comprises an AN818-style nut, an externally threaded 37° nipple and an internally threaded hose socket. For size 8 fittings, the nut and nipple are anodised aluminium.
