The Aeroquip 491-5 is a reusable hose fitting from the Aeroquip 491 Series. It is specified for 5/16 in hose with a 1/2-20 tube thread.

This three-piece compression fitting comprises an AN818-style nut, an externally threaded 37° nipple and an internally threaded hose socket. Eaton documentation describes the -3 through -6 fitting sizes as having cadmium-plated steel nuts and nipples; the socket is aluminium. The 491 Series conforms to MS24587.
