The Recoil 5/16-18 UNC thread repair kit is intended for the repair of stripped or damaged 5/16-18 Unified Coarse Thread (UNC) threads.

The Recoil system uses a helically wound stainless-steel insert installed in a prepared tapped hole. During installation, the insert is compressed and then expands to anchor in position, restoring the thread form.
