The DroMight™ Rudder Lock is a dual, tension-bearing rudder locking system for Van’s RV-14 and RV-14A aircraft. Designed to be fitted and used from inside the cockpit while the aircraft is parked, it helps restrain rudder-pedal movement during ground parking.

Manufacturer part number: DM-RLVRV14

  • Specific application: Van’s RV-14 and RV-14A.
  • Dual adjustable locking tubes with permanently fitted base plates.
  • Main tube structure manufactured from 6063-T5 aluminium tubing.
  • Tension/compression assembly incorporates a steel tip, CNC-machined aluminium piston, stainless-steel compression spring and CNC-machined aluminium backstop pin.
  • Published length: 489 mm.
  • Published component weights: base plates 169 g; locking tubes 387 g.
  • Installation documentation identifies two red anodised locking tubes, two black anodised base plates and eight AN526C832R7 screws as kit contents.

Follow the supplied installation instructions and include removal and stowage of both rudder locks in the aircraft pre-flight procedure before flight.
