The CO Guardian Aero 553-500 is an outside air temperature (OAT) probe for compatible Aero 551/553 installations. It provides the external temperature input required where outside-air-temperature indication is needed.

For AERO 553 systems, the OAT input also supports the unit’s density-altitude calculation. Each instrument requires its own dedicated probe connection; do not share a probe between separate OAT indication circuits.
