The Nelson Piper Blade Pitot Cover is a moulded protective cover intended for Piper blade-style pitot tubes. It provides a clear visual reminder before flight with white “REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT” lettering on a red banner.

Overview

Note: If the plastic is cold, it may be a little stiff, but should conform once it is on the pitot tube. It may help to warm up the molded part first, with a hair dryer or soaking it in hot water, then it should adapt to the tube. After it has been used a few times, it will probably take a "set" and retain the shape enough to make the installation easier.
