The Magnum 72 Hr Rescue Laser Flare is a hand-held laser signalling device intended for emergency and survival equipment. Manufacturer part number: RLFAA024-01.

Designed as a non-pyrotechnic alternative to conventional flares, it uses two replaceable AA batteries and is stated to provide up to 72 hours of continuous operation.

  • Nighttime signalling visibility stated at up to 32 km, depending on atmospheric conditions
  • Daytime effectiveness stated at up to 4.8 km
  • May assist in locating reflective material at up to 1.6 km
  • Waterproof to a stated depth of 24 m
  • Non-flammable and non-hazardous design
  • Rugged machined Delrin® plastic housing intended to resist corrosion
  • Long-life laser diode, stated mean time to failure: 10,000 hours

Suitable for inclusion in personal survival gear or attachment to a lifejacket, subject to the operator’s equipment procedures and the product operating instructions.
