The ASA E6-B is a manual, slide-rule-style flight computer with solid aluminium construction and easy-to-read lettering. It supports routine flight-planning calculations without reliance on electronic power.

The wind side incorporates a wind-component grid and crosswind-correction chart. The reverse slide provides calculations for time, speed, distance, altitude, true airspeed and density altitude, together with conversion functions. Nautical and statute scales are included.
