The Homebuilt Universal Fuel Check Rod is a direct fuel level indicator intended for custom calibration to a homebuilt aircraft fuel tank.

It uses an acrylic PVC tube with a blank external aluminium scale, allowing the user to mark the scale for the applicable tank. Once calibrated, it can be used to check fuel quantity directly and to compare the result with the aircraft’s installed fuel level indication.
