The CST173 is a push rod spring compressor intended to assist with the compression of push rod tube springs during engine maintenance.

By holding the spring in a compressed position, the tool supports removal and refitting of the push rod tube assembly. The shaft may be operated manually or with a suitable air ratchet, following the applicable maintenance data and safe working practices.
