The Oops Hole Saver Rivet Kit, manufacturer part number 1097K, is an assortment of NAS 1097 100° flush rivets supplied in a divided plastic storage box.

NAS 1097 rivets have a reduced flush head. The 1/8 in NAS 1097 rivet head is stated to have the same head diameter as a standard 3/32 in AN426-style flush rivet, providing an option when correcting an enlarged or mistaken 3/32 in flush-rivet hole. The smaller 3/32 in NAS 1097 rivets may also be used for nutplate installation where a reduced head is beneficial.

Overview

“OOPS” Hole saver rivet kit. NAS 1097 rivets are 100º flush rivets with a smaller head. The 1/8” 1097 rivet head is the same size diameter as the normal 3/32” 426 Flush rivet. Easy fix on mistakes made on 3/32” flush rivets. The 3/32” NAS 1097 rivets are great for installing nutplates- you can deburr hole (instead of countersinking) and the reduced head on the NAS 1097 will fit.
