The 1-3/4 lb Bucking Bar, manufacturer part number 08-670, is a rivet-installation hand tool for use as a backing mass during solid-rivet work.

It is cast from ductile iron for a non-porous finish and has a highly polished working surface. Heat treated to 38–42 HRC, the bar can be re-polished while retaining its hardness.
