Washington Alloy 625 is described as producing weld deposits with strong corrosion- and oxidation-resistance characteristics, including resistance to phosphoric acids, organic acids and seawater. The deposited weld metal is also described as offering resistance to pitting and stress-corrosion cracking in chloride-containing environments.

Suitable for TIG welding of Inconel alloys 601, 625 and 690, and Incoloy alloys 800, 825 and 800HT, to themselves or to each other. It may also be used for joining these alloys to dissimilar metals including carbon steel, low-alloy steel, ferritic stainless steel and austenitic stainless steel.
