ER70S-2 mild-steel filler material for TIG and plasma welding. This multiple-deoxidised plain carbon-steel filler includes zirconium, titanium and aluminium additions alongside manganese and silicon, supporting welding performance on surfaces that may be oily, dirty or lightly rusty.

The filler has a quick-freezing weld pool and a relatively narrow molten range, making it suitable for tubing, piping and out-of-position welding work. Weld deposits are described as having high ductility, good impact properties and tensile strength.
