The Microair T2000ADSB-IO upgrade is intended to upgrade an existing Microair T2000ADSB-Out transponder to T2000ADSB-IO configuration. Manufacturer part number: 20001422.

The upgrade adds ADS-B In capability, enabling traffic data to be streamed via Wi-Fi using the GDL90 protocol to a compatible iPad, Android tablet or other compatible mobile device. This supports the display of surrounding ADS-B traffic in compatible electronic flight bag applications.

Microair describes the T2000ADSB-IO platform as combining Mode A/C transponder functionality, ADS-B In and Out, an integrated GPS position source and an altitude encoder in one compact unit. The upgrade is presented as a plug-and-play option for Microair T2000 transponder owners; installation, configuration and regulatory suitability should be confirmed for the individual aircraft and operating environment.
