The ARTEX ELT 1000 Base Pack, manufacturer part number 8204, is a 406 MHz emergency locator transmitter package supplied with a rod antenna configuration. The ELT 1000 uses a single RF output and one coaxial cable to transmit a 406 MHz emergency signal and a 121.5 MHz homing signal.

This configuration is listed by ARTEX with the 110-338 white rod antenna and 8304 remote control. The ELT incorporates a built-in GPS navigational interface and provides automatic activation via its primary G-switch, as well as manual activation. A BNC female output connector is specified for the 406 MHz and 121.5 MHz signals.
