The Garmin 494-70008-00 is a Type K thermocouple probe intended for cylinder head temperature (CHT) measurement. It is supplied in a 3/8-24 bayonet-style configuration.

Garmin identifies this part number as an optional CHT sensor for engine indication system installations. In Garmin G3X Touch Part 23 documentation, it is referenced as an Alcor 86252 Type K probe and listed as “Interface Only”; installation approval and configuration must therefore be verified against the applicable current aircraft and avionics documentation.
