The uAvionix AV-HSI Experimental is a remote-mounted Horizontal Situation Indicator interface for the AV-30-E. Manufacturer part number UAX-90103-01.

It provides course and glideslope guidance for display on the AV-30-E during GPS navigation and ILS or LPV approaches. The unit interfaces with supported panel-mounted GPS navigators through three ARINC 429 channels (two receive and one transmit) and includes four serial ports for NAV/COMM connections and interconnection of multiple AV-30 units.

  • Supports navigation-data sharing across multiple connected AV-30 displays, including synchronised barometric setting, heading-bug setting and outside-air-temperature data.
  • Manufacturer-listed supported GPS navigator families include selected Avidyne IFD, Garmin GPS/GNC/GNS/GTN/GNX units.
  • Manufacturer-listed supported NAV/COMM units include selected Avidyne IFD, Garmin GNS/GTN/GNC, Garmin/Apollo SL30 and Trig TX56(a) equipment.
