The Avidyne IFD550 is a panel-mounted FMS/GPS/NAV/COM navigator with a black bezel, configured with a nominal 10 W VHF COM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and FLTA. This version incorporates Avidyne’s Attitude Reference System (ARS) and Dynamic Synthetic Vision capability, presenting flight, terrain, obstacle and traffic information on a bright 5.7 in (14.5 cm) touchscreen display.

Designed as part of the Avidyne IFD5-series, the IFD550 combines touchscreen operation with dedicated knobs and buttons for a hybrid cockpit interface. Avidyne also identifies FMS Preview and GeoFill functionality as key flight-planning features of the IFD platform.
