The OptiMate Solar DUO Standard Kit, manufacturer part number TM522-D4, is a 40 W solar-powered charger and battery maintainer for 12 V battery systems. It combines a weatherproof polycrystalline solar panel with a separate OptiMate DUO charge-monitor controller, allowing the controller to be positioned close to the battery for convenient status monitoring.

The automatic multi-step charging programme is designed to charge and maintain 12 V lead-acid batteries, including standard, AGM and gel types, as well as 12.8 V lithium LFP batteries. The controller monitors battery condition and automatically switches to charging when sufficient solar energy is available.
