The uAvionix AV-Mag EXP is a compact external 3-axis magnetometer for use with the AV-30 Experimental display. It precisely measures the Earth’s magnetic field to aid the AV-30 directional heading measurement, supporting improved long-term heading accuracy and consistency.

Designed as a remote electronic compass solution for AV-30 Experimental installations, the AV-Mag is installed and calibrated through the AV-30 configuration process. Installation location, orientation and magnetic-interference checks should be completed in accordance with the applicable uAvionix installation documentation.
