The Powervamp Coolspool 17 is a portable 28 V DC aircraft start unit configured with an approximately 2 m output lead, a 28 V aircraft connector and an SB175 connector. This version is specified with international AC input for the integrated charging system.

Designed as a compact aircraft starting and emergency-power unit, the Coolspool 17 series uses sealed AGM batteries in an aluminium case with carry handle. Powervamp specifies an internal 3-stage charger with LED status indication and a solid-state, push-to-view voltmeter for battery-voltage monitoring.
