Dual Head Up Display XhuD1000

The Dual XHUD1000 is a compact, portable head-up display designed to present selected flight information within the pilot’s forward view. Its folding display screen has adjustable distance and angle, while an image-invert function supports ceiling-mounted use.

The unit provides three selectable display modes:

• AHRS mode: displays altitude, airspeed, attitude, bank angle and compass heading in a HUD-style graphic.
• Traffic mode: displays ADS-B traffic in a radar-style presentation with selectable range and TCAS symbology.
• Tablet Graphics mode: displays graphics from compatible applications running on a tablet or smartphone, such as maps, synthetic vision or AHRS displays.

Wireless connectivity is provided for use with supported portable receivers, panel avionics, tablets and smartphones. The XHUD1000 is documented for AHRS and Traffic modes with Dual XGPS190 and Stratus 3 receivers, and for Traffic mode with Dual XGPS170/170D receivers. Tablet Graphics mode can be used with portable receivers and compatible iOS or Android mobile devices.
