The Comant Industries CI-158C is a receive-only VOR/LOC/GS navigation antenna with a V-dipole configuration and BNC connector. Its detachable stainless-steel radiator elements support more compact handling and storage than fixed-element designs.

The antenna covers 108–118 MHz for VOR/LOC and 329–335 MHz for glide-slope reception. It has horizontal polarisation, a dipole radiation pattern and a nominal 50 Ω impedance.

“V” Dipole VOR/LOC/GS antenna with detachable elements mounts on top of the vertical fin stabilizer for most single engine general aviation aircraft. RF design similar to the CI 157P. Integral ferrite balun provides for higher radiation efficiency. Detachable elements result in a significantly smaller shipping and storage carton than fixed element versions.

Note: Comant Antennas no longer come with a gasket or a template. Must order PN 09-05579 separately.

Not approved for helicopter installations.
