The Garmin GAD 13 is an FAA-PMA outside air temperature (OAT) probe interface module for Garmin G5 installations. Supplied as a unit only, it converts analogue OAT probe information into digital data for communication with G5 system LRUs via CAN.

When installed and configured in an applicable G5 system, the GAD 13 supports OAT and true airspeed (TAS) information. Wind information requires the appropriate system configuration, including a Garmin GMU 11 magnetometer.
