The Sigtronics HT-1 Headset Tester is a portable, self-contained unit for functional testing of aviation headsets away from the aircraft.

It accommodates one or two headsets and incorporates a built-in Push-To-Test switch to power the headphone and microphone circuits during testing. When a complete electrical path is present, the user can hear their own voice in the headphones; with two headsets connected, both users can communicate with each other.
