The Appareo Stratus ES, manufacturer part number 153010-000039/62, is a panel-mounted Mode S Extended Squitter (1090ES) transponder with ADS-B Out capability. Designed for installations using an approved external GPS position source, it provides responses to Mode A/C and Mode S interrogations.

This version is supplied with the Stratus 3i kit. The Stratus 3i is a wired ADS-B In receiver that connects to the Stratus ES transponder and uses aircraft power and the transponder’s externally mounted antenna signals. The 3i installation documentation lists a receiver, mounting clip, 9-pin D-sub connector and interface cables as supplied components.
