RAMI AV-289 Transponder/Miltiband Flightcell Antenna TSO

The RAMI AV-289 is a broadband blade antenna designed for transponder operation and additional cellular, 4G, GSM, PCS, Wi-Fi and UMTS applications. It provides vertical polarisation, an omnidirectional pattern and a nominal 50-ohm impedance.

For the transponder function, the AV-289 operates in the 1030–1090 MHz band and is FAA TSO-C74d qualified as an incomplete system. The 700–1029 MHz and 1091–2700 MHz ranges are specified by RAMI as non-TSO functions. Aircraft-specific installation approval remains the responsibility of the installer and operator under the applicable airworthiness requirements.
