The RAM Mounts GDS® Locking Vehicle Dock, part number RAM-GDS-DOCKL-V2-AP8U, is a spring-loaded tablet dock with a keyed lock and quick-release operation. Designed for use with the RAM® GDS® Ecosystem™, it provides a secure docking position while enabling charging and data connectivity through the compatible IntelliSkin® sleeve.

This dock is specifically intended for the following Apple tablets when fitted with the appropriate IntelliSkin® sleeve:

  • Apple iPad Air 2
  • Apple iPad Pro 9.7
  • Apple iPad 5th Generation
  • Apple iPad 6th Generation

The dock uses a female micro-USB 2.0 input and is specified for 5–12 V at up to 2 A. Micro-USB 2.0/3.0 products are specified by the manufacturer with a maximum current of 1.67 A.
