The Garmin GDL 52R is a remote-mount aviation datalink receiver combining dual-band ADS-B In and SiriusXM® reception in one compact unit. It incorporates a WAAS GPS receiver and built-in attitude sensors to provide position, speed, altitude and backup attitude information to compatible Garmin displays, portables and mobile-device applications.

Designed as a remote-box solution, the GDL 52R supports up to two wired display connections and two Connext® wireless display connections, plus wired or wireless audio integration for compatible equipment. ADS-B traffic functionality includes Garmin TargetTrend™ and TerminalTraffic™ features on compatible displays.

SiriusXM aviation weather, audio services and ADS-B Flight Information Service-Broadcast weather availability depend on subscription, compatible display equipment and regional service coverage. Garmin identifies ADS-B FIS-B weather as a U.S. service, while SiriusXM aviation coverage is primarily intended for North America. The GDL 52R is receive-only and does not provide ADS-B Out functionality.
