The Trig TN72 is a compact remote-mount GPS position source designed to provide position data to a compatible Trig transponder for ADS-B Out installations. It supports TABS (Traffic Awareness Beacon System) applications and is intended to provide a certified GPS position source for improved electronic conspicuity.

For European operators, Trig identifies the TN72 as suitable for voluntary ADS-B Out installations, subject to the applicable aircraft installation approval, configuration and national operating requirements.

The TN72 is supplied with an installation kit, including the installation manual, QMA coaxial connector, 9-way headshell and D-type connector hardware. A compatible active GPS antenna and compatible Trig transponder are required for installation.

Installation and configuration must be completed in accordance with the applicable Trig documentation and approved aircraft installation data. The TN72 is a remote-mount TSO article; aircraft-level approval remains the responsibility of the installer and appropriate airworthiness authority.
