The Appareo Stratus ESG, manufacturer part number ASA-00231-CU, is a panel-mounted 1090 MHz Extended Squitter (1090ES) transponder configuration for experimental aircraft. This version is supplied with a custom harness and combines transponder and WAAS GPS functions in a single unit.

Designed around the common 42 mm panel-height format, the Stratus ESG provides push-button operation, an OLED display, dedicated VFR function and pressure-altitude monitoring. It responds to Mode A/C and Mode S interrogations and supports ADS-B Out functionality through its integrated GPS/WAAS receiver.
