The Power Products Activator 282 is a 24 V battery charger and status monitor for aircraft and military batteries. Identified by manufacturer part number Activator 282, it is designed for direct connection to the battery.

The unit provides automatic charging and battery-voltage monitoring. Float and automatic shut-off modes can be selected for lead-acid or NiCad battery types. Following proper battery servicing, it may also be used as a status monitor during storage, with green, yellow and red visual battery-status indication.

Extends Battery Life The Activator 282 is a direct connect, fully automatic 2 Amp charger capable of charging a 24 volt military or aviation battery of any rating from zero to full capacity. It is also a standby maintenance unit without the use of “trickle” charging, thus extending the life and durability of the battery. There is no gassing, heat or other detrimental results of trickle or float charge. The digital voltmeter continuously displays battery voltage during charge and standby.
