The ARTEX ELT 1000 Base Pack, manufacturer part number 8206, is a 406 MHz emergency locator transmitter (ELT) configuration supplied with the ARTEX 110-773 whip antenna. The ELT 1000 transmits a 406 MHz emergency signal for Cospas-Sarsat detection together with a 121.5 MHz local homing signal.

Designed with a built-in GPS navigational interface, the ELT 1000 can transmit aircraft position data when interfaced with the aircraft navigation system. Its single RF output uses one coaxial cable for both 406 MHz and 121.5 MHz transmissions.
