The ARTEX ELT 1000 Base Pack with Whip Antenna is a 406 MHz emergency locator transmitter package, manufacturer part number 8206. The ELT 1000 uses a single RF output and one coaxial cable to transmit a 406 MHz distress signal and a 121.5 MHz homing signal.

The unit incorporates a built-in GPS navigational interface and supports automatic activation through its primary G-switch, as well as manual activation. A BNC female RF output connection is provided.
