The ARTEX ELT 1000 Base Pack, manufacturer part number 8204, is a 406 MHz emergency locator transmitter package configured with the white 110-338 rod antenna and 8304 remote switch/accessories.

The ELT 1000 uses a single RF output and one coaxial cable to transmit a 406 MHz distress signal and a local 121.5 MHz homing signal. Its built-in GPS navigational interface can accept position information without requiring aircraft power for the interface to operate.
