The Pilot USA PA-1160AI/S is a passive aviation headset configured with a straight ICOM connector and an inline press-to-talk (PTT) switch on the communication cord. It is intended for direct connection to compatible ICOM aviation transceivers without an additional adapter.

The straight-plug configuration is specified for ICOM A2, A3, A4, A20, A21 and A22 transceivers. For ICOM A6, A14 and A24 radios with a side-mounted headset input, a right-angle plug configuration may be more suitable.
