The MGL Magnetic Current Sensor, manufacturer part number MAG-CURRENT, provides contactless measurement of DC current in aircraft electrical power circuits. It senses the magnetic field around the current-carrying conductor, allowing installation without cutting the conductor or adding a current shunt.

  • Bi-directional DC current monitoring, suitable for observing charge and discharge current direction.
  • Installation-dependent measurement range and calibration; conductor routing around the sensor is used to suit the required range.
  • 0.5 to 4.5 V DC signal output, centred at 2.5 V with no magnetic field.
  • 8 to 28 V DC operating supply; typical supply current below 20 mA.
  • For connection to compatible MGL EFIS systems through an appropriate RDAC input.

Correct sensor positioning, grounding and EFIS calibration are important to obtain reliable readings. Refer to the manufacturer installation manual before installation and configuration.
