The Ema AOA Basic and Buddy Sensor is an optional small vane component for AOA Systems Basic, Buddy and Elite installations.

Compared with the standard vane, this smaller and more streamlined vane is intended for installations on aircraft cruising above 200 knots. Due to its reduced airfoil area, it normally requires use with a ball-bearing sensor; the Elite System is the stated exception.
