The Trans-Cal ATS-400 is an altitude reporting equipment test set and simulator designed to test, display and simulate ICAO pressure-altitude transmission data. It provides numeric and binary display of altitude-reporting outputs and can be used for aircraft-installed or bench test work.

The unit accepts ICAO altitude input and can display serial altitude-reporting data through RS-232, RS-422/485 and ARINC 429 Label 203 interfaces. Simulation mode provides ICAO parallel and RS-232 altitude data outputs for functional testing of connected avionics inputs.
