The ACK Technologies E-04R is a retrofit kit for replacing an installed ACK E-01 emergency locator transmitter (ELT) with the ACK E-04 406/121.5 MHz ELT. Designed as a direct replacement for the E-01 installation, the E-04R allows retention of the existing E-01 mounting tray and straps, as well as the installed remote-control-panel arrangement.

The supplied E-04 ELT is GPS capable and accepts position input data from Garmin Aviation, Bendix/King Aviation and NMEA 0183 GPS sources. This version is supplied with a 250-knot whip antenna.
