The TCW Technologies Universal Switch – Airspeed Kit, part number USW-1, provides airspeed-dependent switching of electrical loads. The kit combines an ASW-1 airspeed switch with a Universal Switch-SPDT controller, allowing a connected load to be controlled above or below a selected airspeed threshold.

  • Adjustable airspeed switching range: 55–140 kt; factory calibrated to 100 kt.
  • For 10–30 V DC aircraft electrical systems.
  • SPDT output with one normally-open and one normally-closed contact.
  • Switching capability for electrical loads up to 10 A.
  • Includes ASW-1 airspeed switch and Universal Switch-SPDT controller.

The USW-1 is not TSO’d and is not EASA/FAA approved. The manufacturer states that it is intended only for aircraft certified in the Experimental category. Installation must be assessed and carried out in accordance with applicable aircraft standards and practices.
