The EMS-196 is a desktop fast-smart charger for BP-195 and BP-196 9.6 V Ni-Cd or Ni-MH battery packs.

Designed for convenient bench or desktop use, it can charge a battery pack separately or with the battery installed in the associated equipment. A selectable slow smart-charging mode is provided, while automatic end-of-cycle shut-down changes the unit to trickle charging.
