The Emergency Beacon Corp EBC 406APHM is an automatic portable military helicopter emergency locator transmitter (ELT) intended for cabin or cockpit mounting. It uses an external rod antenna and provides transmission on 406.028 MHz, 121.5 MHz and 243.0 MHz.

Designed as a self-contained unit requiring no aircraft power, the EBC 406APHM incorporates a 360° spherical G-switch for automatic activation. A self-test function provides audible and visual pass/fail indication, while activation alerts are provided by LED and buzzer.
